Dr. S. Bhattacharya

He is a member of the Editorial Board of International Journal of Coal Preparation and Utilization, The Open Mineral Processing Journal of Bentham and of the International Advisory Board of Minerals and Metallurgical Processing of SME. Besides, he is a referee, among others, of Mineral Processing and Extractive Metallurgy Review and Colloid and Polymer Science. He was a Guest Editor; Coal Preparation: Special Issue on India, Vol. 27 (1-3) 2007. Dr Bhattacharya has academic interaction among others with Pennsylvania State University, University of Kentucky, SIU Carbondale, US Geological Survey, Camborne School of Mines and IIT Kharagpur. Dr Bhattacharya authored a monograph, contributed a chapter in a book and carried out 12 research and 30 consultancy projects, sponsored among others by USAID, IMC Montan, TATA STEEL, NTPC, MOC. Besides publishing more than 100 research papers, he has conducted 27 Executive Development Programmes. He was a DST/ SERC fellow in the year 1999. He is a member of BIS Sectional Committee on Solid Mineral Fuels; PCD 7 and Convener of BIS Coal Preparation Sub Committee; PCD 7.2.
